Custom Of The Week: Mizu x Sundance

We love teaming up with likeminded brands and companies and getting them products that they love. For our Custom of the Week this week we caught up with the crew at Sundance Mountain Resort to talk about their recent collaboration with us. Check out the Q&A below to find out more on the Mizu x Sundance

How did you first hear about the Mizu Custom program?

We were already familiar with Mizu as a brand, and when the opportunity to participate in the custom program was presented to us it was a no brainer. Sundance Mountain Resort and Mizu naturally align as brands. At Sundance, we are focused on sustainability and environmental impact and were excited to offer our customers a reusable water bottle with a great aesthetic.

What about Mizu and their custom program made it a great fit for your brand?

At Sundance we limit plastic use, and having custom Mizu bottles allows the opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint and provide reusable bottles our guests can carry on the mountain and take home.

What is your favorite product in the Mizu line up and how did you choose your custom product?

We love the M8! It’s a great size for exploring and daily life. It has become the go-to bottle around the resort!

Does your brand support a cause initiative?

“Our commitment to Sundance has always been to develop very little and preserve a great deal.” – Robert Redford

Sundance Mountain Resort has a long-standing history of Green policies, dating back to the property’s original purchase in 1969. Today, Sundance Mountain Resort continues to update and implement new techniques and technologies, staying at the forefront of environmental stewardship.

Both visitors and lodging guests can participate in our resort-wide recycling program. Sundance Mountain Resort recycles cardboard, cans, paper, plastic and glass on-site. Our glass is placed in kilns and turned into decorative art and housewares for use around the property and available for guests to purchase in our outlets. In addition, we also make all of our soap that is used in our lodging units onsite, After the soap has been used by a guest we work with a third party to recycle the soap and send it to 3rd world countries.

How does your brand live a Mizu Life?

At Sundance we are always focused on bringing together art, nature and community. We do this by giving our guests the platforms necessary to express themselves, weather it is Skiing or Snowboarding, all the way to taking a Silversmith class in our Art Studio. We are always looking to connect people with the surrounding elements.

"To us, Sundance is and always will be a dream.”- Robert Redford
